We believe that we offer the safest valve on the market today, particularly as it pertains to fire safety.
Fire safety has become a major concern as more ball valves are being utilized in hazardous environments. In the event of a fire, it is critical that a valve, in the closed position, will effectively prohibit flow sufficient to feed a fire downstream of the valve, as well as prohibit leakage to the atmosphere through the stem area. The Balon design has accomplished this by allowing stem and ball movement onto the secondary metal sealing surface upon dissipation of the resilient seals.
