Balon Introduces 750 and 1,000 PSI-Rated 9D Aluminum Bronze Ball Valves In Sizes 2" Regular through 4" Full (3/1/2004)
Corrosion is significant issue for producers who oversee coal-bed methane wells or mature fields using secondary or tertiary recovery techniques. Balon’s 9D Aluminum Bronze products offer superior corrosion protection while eliminating the problem of galled threads that can occur when using carbon steel pipe and fittings with stainless steel valves. Coating valves, another attempt at dealing with corrosive material, has its own set of problems from incomplete protection to changing the dimensions of critical components both of which can negatively effect the safe operation and service life of a valve. Balon has long offered a superior solution to this problem with its 2,000 and 3,000 psi rated 1” and 2” 9D Aluminum Bronze ball valves. However, operators expressed a need for a wider range of sizes and indicated that many applications do not require these higher pressure ratings. Balon has again responded to the end user’s desire to lower the cost of ownership and operation through innovations that raise the threshold of quality.
Balon’s six (6) new 750 and 1,000 psi rated, “S Series” 9D Aluminum Bronze ball valves add to its prior offerings of 2,000 and 3,000 psi rated 9D Aluminum Bronze Ball Valves. All Balon 9D Aluminum Bronze ball valves meet NACE standard MR01 75 and come standard with 316 Stainless Steel Ball and Stem. With these additions, Balon now offers:
