Balon Introduces Its 5,000 PSI Bolted Body Ball Valve To The Market (5/1/2004)
Earlier this year, Balon released it first 5,000 psi rated ball valve made of 4130/4140 Alloy Steel and using ACME threads to join the valve body and adapter (see related story). Today, Balon announced that it will also offer the 2” Regular Port, 5,000 psi, screwed end ball valve, using the bolted body construction style found in all of Balon’s “F Series” ball valves, in both standard and NACE trim. Many operators prefer a bolted construction valve for their higher pressure applications. However, one look at Balon’s new 2RF5MSE is all it takes to recognize that Balon’s 5,000 psi valve is different from other bolted body valves on the market today. It is heavier, with thicker walls and more robust bolting than found on other valves. This is just another example of how Balon raises the threshold of quality to lower the cost of ownership.
