Qualified candidates for this Safety Representative position will have at least 2 years of work experience in training, overseeing, and/or administering health, safety and environmental programs in manufacturing or metal fabrication facilities.
Must be able to communicate well with others and conduct training on various EHS subjects. This position functions as part of a team and the ability to work with others is a critical part of the job.
Additional preferred qualifications and experience:
- Good understanding of OSHA requirements for manufacturing employers
- Familiarity with SDS recordkeeping requirements
- Familiarity with Oklahoma workers’ compensation requirements
- Familiarity with air permit and similar environmental regulations
- Ability to prepare presentations, reports, policies, and procedures using Microsoft Office Software
- Bilingual is a plus
- Willingness to act as a first responder is a plus
