Qualified candidates for the position of Tooling/Manufacturing Engineer will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in design and development of tooling. Must have experience using a CAD software. Primary duties of a Tooling/Manufacturing Engineer should include: Design tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for production and prototype programs, considering such factors as safety, ergonomics, quality, cost, and schedule. Work with CAD system to review tool and product designs, perform form, fit, and function checks, assist with calibration and maintenance of tooling assets. Evaluate tooling and machine processes and support continuous improvement efforts for manufacturing processes. Resolve technical questions on tooling from customers and suppliers. Assist in procuring and acquiring tooling, prepare requests for and assist with price quotations for new tooling.
